Bank on FI is an educational blog. It is not a bank, lender, or financial institution and does not offer loans, deposits, or any financial products. The name uses “bank on” in its everyday sense of “count on.” The author does not accept loan applications or financial statements through this site and does not refer readers to any lender.
Hypothetical examples
Worked examples use invented or rounded numbers to illustrate a concept. Rules of thumb and ratios mentioned on this site (for example DSCR or debt-to-income benchmarks) vary by lender, loan program, market and time, and may not apply to you.
No professional relationship
Reading this site or the newsletter, or emailing the author, does not create an advisor-client, attorney-client, accountant-client or lender-borrower relationship.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. There are currently no affiliate links or sponsored posts on this site. If that changes, those links and posts will be clearly disclosed.
Privacy notice
No tracking. This site doesn’t use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or third-party scripts. It is a set of static pages.
Hosting. Like any website, the hosting provider processes basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. That data isn’t used to build profiles of visitors.
Newsletter. If you subscribe, your first name and email address are stored by the email service provider, Kit (formerly ConvertKit), and used only to send the newsletter and the resources you asked for. Kit may record whether emails are opened or links clicked. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Your information is never sold or rented.
Your choices. You can unsubscribe at any time, or ask for your subscriber information to be deleted, by replying to any newsletter email.
Changes. If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated.
